The Press Institute for Women in the Developing World is pleased to announce the selection of the 2006-2007 Board of Directors.
"Each member of this board is dedicated to the principles of journalism and the need for creating a unique platform for human rights and human dialogue," said Cristi Hegranes, president of the Institute. "Together we will take our first steps in creating this archive of human experience."
The Institute's board members are leading writers, journalists, ethics experts and citizen journalism pioneers. Hegranes says she is proud to welcome: Theresa Braine of Women's eNews, Elizabeth Fernandez of the San Francisco Chronicle, media consultant Amy Gahran, Jonathan Hegranes of Cogent Valuations, writer Jamie Holmes, Raj Kumar K.C. of The Rising Nepal, The Press Institute's Aleishall Girard Maxon, Kelly McBride of The Poynter Institute, Robin Sloan of Current TV, Manju Thapa of ASMITA Nepal, and Judith Vialva of the South African Media and Gender Institute.
